Wills and Planned Giving

Planning for the future and creating the legacy you wish to leave is one of the most effective ways to ensure a lasting impact. You can make a gift in your will or living trust, known as a bequest.

• Your gift may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate or the remainder after all other provisions are specified.
• You have the flexibility to change your will in the event that life circumstances change.

If you have named ROL in your will or trust, please let us know so we can ensure that your gift is used according to your wishes. However, if you prefer to remain anonymous, we will keep your name and gift in strict confidence.

Sample Language

Below is suggested language to use in your will/trust when drafting your bequest.

For an unrestricted gift that allows Reach Out Lakota, Inc. to determine how to use the funds based on the most pressing needs:

"I give to Reach Out Lakota, Inc., a nonprofit corporation currently located at 6561 Station Rd, West Chester, OH 45069 (with a mail address of PO Box 362, West Chester, OH 45071) or its successor thereto, _________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose."

To designate your provision specifically for the ROL Endowment Fund:

“I give to the Northern Cincinnati Foundation (EIN 31-1661966), an Ohio nonprofit public charity, (insert the percentage of your estate, trust or a sum of money) OR (if donating real estate/property: all my right, title and interest in the following described property _________). This gift shall be used to support the Reach Out Lakota Endowment Fund.  I understand the Northern Cincinnati Foundation Board of Directors holds legal responsibility for this Fund and is solely responsible for the investment of and distributions from the Fund. "
